thinking of being a coach?
We set our standards not to be strict, but to make sure every kid gets the same positive, consistent experience.
Be an example: The way we act and talk to refs/coaches needs to be respectful.
Care for everyone: Every player deserves attention and a good session, not just the strongest ones.
Stick to the warm-up plan: Keeps things smooth and helps all teams work on the same foundation. Touches are the best way to improve as a player.
Be on time: When we’re organized and ready, the kids feel it and it sets the right energy.
WHAT A COACH GETS FROM THE EXPERIENCE
Coaching here isn’t just volunteering, it’s being part of something that really impacts kids and families in our community.
- A chance to mentor young people who look up to you and learn from how you carry yourself.
- Coaches-only events and hangouts to connect, share ideas, and build community with other coaches.
- Exclusive coach gear as a thank you for your time and commitment.
The coaches of this program are what set the standards for the players. When done correctly the kids will notice, and it makes everything on the field better.
parentS & SPECTATORS
Parents and spectators play an important role in the experience of young athletes.
adults attending games or practice must:
- Support all players positively, not just their own child.
- Cheer respectfully and at an appropriate volume. Excessive yelling may interfere with the coaches’ ability to communicate with players during the game.
- Never coach from the sidelines. Coaching is the responsibility of the designated team coaches.
- Avoid criticizing mistakes or making negative comments during games or practices.
- Respect the decisions made by referees and coaches, even when you disagree.
- Refrain from using foul, offensive, or aggressive language or gestures.
- Serve as role models for sportsmanship and respectful behavior.
- Raise any concerns privately and calmly with the coach after the game.
- Ensure players arrive on time for practices and games and are picked up promptly afterward.
Violations may result in a warning, being asked to leave the field area, or in repeated or severe cases, being barred from attending games.
ENFORCEMENT
Infractions will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
If a violation is reported:
- All reported violations will be addressed by league directors.
- Initial offenses will generally result in a verbal warning.
- Repeated or serious offenses may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal from the league.
- The safety, well-being, and respect of all participants are of the highest importance and will be upheld at all times.
Participation in the league implies agreement with this Code of Conduct. By registering for the season, players, coaches, and parents agree to abide by these guidelines and support a positive experience for all participants.
